This is a remake of an RP that Youmu, KL, and myself were once incredibly active in on the Xenosaga Official Boards and Xenolegacy. It stalled before a slow and untimely death at a lack in plot-ideas. This, is Stargate: Unlimited, the rebirth of Stargate: Infinity. No events from the previous incarnations of this roleplay will be included. This is a reset.
For those who don't know, on planets able to sustain life there is a Stargate : entering a code in a device called the DHD (Dial Home Device) opens a door to another planet. The greatest known enemy threat comes from the Goa'uld for earth and Wraith for Atlantis, but can be different here since it IS a cross-over.
The Asgard, Thor, found old codes for activating the Stargate to worlds from other galaxies, other than the Milky Way, Pegase or Oris. This code leads to new world which can be of 3 type: Stargate World Type, Invented World or Cross-Over world. For instance, a Stargate can be on Second Miltia or Spira, and thus includes them in the RP.
As said previously, all cross-overs from movies, anime, video games, and books are allowed in this RP. The reason as to why all these planet are in the same universe can be numerous. For example the Ancients and some people from other dimensions, like Wilhelm, Yu Yevon etc, etc had perhaps done an experiment creating a Space Time failure at a time in their universe making the galaxy or star system from their world move inside another dimension, the one of the RP, so there can be many Earths.
The Earth from our time is the one of the Stargate Universe, so Lost Jerusalem will be different from Earth. Cross-overs of a series, game, etc, happening at our actual time can be on the Earth from Stargate.
Nevertheless, some rule must be followed :
There is a slight limit in RP : those affecting too many bases, like for example in Star ocean III, the universe being a PC, cannot be cross over. Other dimension should not be included too.
About the different planets, the storyline is not forced to be the same as the original one, but can be exactly the same too. Actually, for the base of the RP, the storyline of Stargate is a little altered since O'Neill is still Colonel and Hammond is a General. The base on Atlantis exists, rules are the same that for base on Earth, storyline of what happened can be modified.
Regarding characters, except as said before, the god-like ones, they are all allowed, even those which are dead in the story of their universe (Anubis, Margulis, Aeris, etc...)and if possible should come from their game/series/movie etc universe (Yuna would come from Spira and not Miltia, still after the discovering of Stargate and Code, she could go on Miltia).
Anyone can join, you can claim a whole world if that one isn't used of course.
[s]Currently, there is a restriction on claims. Five characters per player. A world counts as a character. And you MUST, I repeat, MUST remain in character. If I catch a Squall Leonheart acting like Yuffie, I WILL REVOKE THAT CHARACTER CLAIM.
Original Character DO NOT count under the restrictions. Just don't drop a hundred OC's in the RP, right from the start.[/s]

- If a member uses a Goa'uld or some other species that has an ability to possess a body, they cannot use it for controlling the character of another member, and must keep in mind that some species cannot be controlled.
- If a member use a Wraith or some other species that can sometimes transform human DNA, they cannot modify the character from another member.
- The two previous rule applies for special planet: a planet cannot be contaminated by them as a whole, and if somebody has a company, another player cannot contaminate all people inside for taking control of said company.
- Stealing a character from another member by cloning or any another manner is forbidden except rare cases where cloning is in the story line (like Sephiroth has weak clones without will, Baal in Stargate made 10 clones of himself, etc...), but the clone is never equal to original, or again more rare case where many member are really bound to a character and both want really this character. Still, the appreciation of the member for having a second copy of the character must be obvious or really well known, not just for wanting to have this character like this when another member had him first (in PM or in RP) The right to clone them is to the owner from original character.
- The members are free to decide what to do with their own character as long it stays in the limit of the rules and that it does not break all pleasure to play at the RP to other members,
- Making invincible or god-like character is not allowed since we all know how annoying it becomes at the end (Goa'uld thinks they are gods, but haven't got the power of a God.)
- The Ancients (and Ori) shall not be used by members because of their god-like powers, except if it is a main character from the story and in this case the member must use them wisely, without making them a god. Ori cannot use their power because they are stopped by Ancients.
- In general cases, since likely Ancients won't be used they'll do the role of judge in the RP, it's to say if there is a big issue at one moment or some kind of problem one member can ask that it be fixed by them, not in RP storyline but outside.
- Killing characters (it includes making a character unable to act, ie: power-playing, this can be interpreted for the situation) without the allowance of the member who's characters life is in question, is forbidden.
