Soon afterwards, Jarod enters the room. With a gun.

"Don't tell me you were speaking with him."

He sighs.

"Ok, ok!"

He goes to try... And comes back after one minute.

"Well, he threatened to kill me, insulted me with many non recommendable names and told me he knew 'I don't care'."

SGC

"That's not within our power, Maybourne."

Nomad

"Then next time, let me in on your little plan. I don't play bait for anybody. You included, Jarod."

Midgard

Lenneth nods.

Durandal

"It's okay, Yeshua."

SGC

He lays back in his chair.

"I'm sure the President wouldn't refuse a favor to the heroes who saved the planet. He invited you many times, didn't he?"

Nomad

"I knew you'd say no."

"Me? Er, well, I dunno really..."

Midgard

He goes out. Unhappy.

Durandal

"Yeah, but Aiden, we won't be able to help her without Anima."

SGC

"Invitations are not the same as favors."

Nomad

"Psychic now?" Parker frowns.

"There's gotta be something."

Midgard

Lenneth wraps her arm around his and goes with.

Durandal

"He claimed to care about me, because his Mary died. Maybe he'd care to help our Aiden too."

SGC

"I see. You'll tell Dr McKay I am sorry, but I cannot help him."

Nomad

"No, you merely have some predictable reactions."

"Well, without any of my stuff from the Nomad..."

Midgard

Once outside, he still looks pretty grumpy, angry.

Durandal

"Maybe." he nods

"That's worth a try."

SGC

"You're going to help us Maybourne!"

Nomad

"Up yours, Jarod."

"Try without the tech. There's got to be something fun you like to do."

Midgard

"Lezard." Lenneth says softly.

Durandal

Mary nods and tries.

SGC

"You're not on P3X-whatever Major." he says "There are laws regulating prisoners in this country. By the time you can get an order to force to cooperate, McKay will be long dead. Know what awaits me? Death row. Got nothing to lose on my end. If you want my help, you're going to have to do some sacrifices and take my offer."

Nomad

He smiles and turns to Raines.

Midgard

"What?" he replies coldly

Durandal

The other chaos sighs.

"She won't die in stasis. Whatever her problem is, it can wait."

SGC

"Fine." Sam says sharply.

Nomad

"Now what?"

"Jeez, you really rely on technology. Kind of like how I rely on magic."

Midgard

Lenneth doesn't even answer. She just frowns and walks away.

Durandal

"Until when?"

SGC

He grins.

"I knew we'd get on an agreement."

"Your father has all the answers." he simply replies

"Well, yeah. I mean, even before I got to travel with Snake, I wasn't an active person really. I was watching animes and playing video games with my free time."

Midgard

He turns to her.

"So that it's? I'm replying to you and you walk away?"

Durandal

"I don't know. It wouldn't have happened anyway if that idiot next to you hadn't lost control to Xehanort."

SGC

"Don't get to arrogant, Maybourne. We'll pull strings but likely, the best you'll get is ten years short of a life sentence."

Nomad

"Funny, Jarod. Real funny."

Midgard

"You're obviously in a foul mood. I'm leaving you some space so you can calm down!"

Durandal

"That's enough of that!"

SGC

"Me, arrogant? You've got to be mistaken of person."

Nomad

"Anyway, we gotta get the answers."

"Well, not a lot really."

Midgard

"I'm just disappointed that you follow rules that much by the book!"

Durandal

"What? Annoyed that I'm criticizing your monkey? So terribly unsorry."

SGC

"It doesn't matter. My point stands."

Nomad

"After you."

"Which implies that you did something."

Midgard

"I'm not following rules! But I'm not going to use violence to get my way!"

Durandal

Mary moves to slap him. Hard.

SGC

"So does mine. Shall we go?"

Nomad

He questions Raines. No answer.

"Going to Anime Conventions."

Midgard

"Violence?! I disabled their weapons!"

Durandal

He winces but doesn't say a word. He just turns away and goes to sit further from them.

SGC

"Move it then."

Nomad

Parker goes to punch him. Since she can't let her symbiont have a voice right now.

"They may be humans of another world, but all humans will resort to base instincts when they lack weapons."

Durandal

Mary doesn't follow.

SGC

"You have to tell the guards I can leave."

Nomad

He winces and pants, but say nothing.

"You sure?"

Midgard

"Yeah, I forgot you are a real expert on humanity." he chuckles.

He realizes a bit too late he shouldn't have said that.

Durandal

chaos turns to her

"I'm sorry, I didn't think I could be that annoying in any reality."

SGC

"I'll tell them as we go."

Nomad

"Start talking, Raines!"

"Yeah, why not?"

Midgard

Lenneth glares at him.

"As if you're any better!"

Durandal

"Neither did I."

SGC

"Fine."

And he goes.

Nomad

"I'm afraid I do not have the answers."

"Because, I don't think that's your thing."

Midgard

"I'm born human." he replies

"Anyway, let's not argue over that."

Durandal

"Though, I think I can understand him. he lost you; or rather, your version of you in his universe."

SGC

Sam goes with him.

Nomad

"Bullshit!"

"It's something you like to do though."

Lenneth just crosses her arms.

Durandal

"I can understand that." Mary nods.

SGC

Once they're outside, he goes to their car. He tries to use the driver sit.

Nomad

"Truth."

Annoying Raines is annoying.

He's not gonna say anything else.

Durandal

"Now, I don't know what we could do to get him to help us..."

SGC

"I don't think so Maybourne." Sam says, grabbing his shoulder.

Nomad

"You're walking a fine line, Raines!"

"So let's go?"

Midgard

Lenneth is just as quiet.

Durandal

"If there were a way to get his Mary back, maybe."

SGC

After a while, he walks back to the Stargate.

Durandal

"From what you said, his whole universe got blown up."

SGC

"Not for us."

Nomad

"Want to bet? You don't need your legs, do you?"

Vega grins and goes to find an anime convention.

Midgard

She goes with him.

Durandal

"That's right." Mary nods.

SGC

"Fine, we have to go to my old apartment, so that I can get access to my account."

Nomad

"You wouldn't dare."

He goes with her.

He goes back to his tower.

Durandal

"It's close to impossible to bring her back."

SGC

"Fine." Sam says and takes them there.

Nomad

"You seem to have forgotten who I am, Raines."

Vega finds one and pays to get them in.

Midgard

Lenneth, of course, goes with him.

Durandal

"I know that."

SGC

He goes up there and opens the door. Empty white apartment, save for the computer.

Nomad

"You seem to have forgotten what i can do, Miss Parker."

"I could pay you know."

Midgard

When he's in his tower, he goes to his lab. Then turns to her.

Durandal

"Ideas?"
